George Robey (1869-1954), the "Prime Minister Of Mirth", recording two songs in the film "Calling The Tune", which was made in 1936. The second song is "Safety First" but I don't know the name of the first song. Fascinating recreation of the acoustic recording studio, which, after all, was still in use less than a decade before.
George Robey wrote the song "Safety First" in 1920 and sang it in a short sound film of the same name in 1928. This was a 'Phonofilm', which used an optical sound-on-film process developed by Lee de Forest.
The film also features pianist-composer-bandleader Reginald Foresythe, but alas only very briefly.
