Khulan Gansukh is a Board Member of the National Environmental Youth Council of Mongolia and was part of UN Women’s Gen-Forum 2025–2026: Young Leaders for Women, Peace and Security Leadership and Learning Series.

Khulan grew up in the Gobi Desert. She is advocating for greater youth inclusion in decision-making at the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification – being hosted by Mongolia from 17–28 August 2026. She is applying her lived experience, role on the council and her strengthened leadership skills after participating in Gen-Forum 2025–2026.

ABOUT: Gen-Forum has enabled young leaders to contribute to advancing peace and stability in Asia and the Pacific by driving implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda, and promoting women's leadership and equality in decision-making. It is organized by UN Women in partnership with the Australian Government.
