Having to strike from a square stance is not uncommon in self defense situations. In this video we demonstrate two power generation concepts: A) Stepping with the strikes, B) Generating power from an explosive hip movement. This is actually a skill that needs a lot of practice, but it's extremely useful in such situations because it's not telegraphic and can cause very strong impact even from a very short distance. The key is to create ballistic power without any previous preparation.
