Gears and chains- forever fighting the war over power transmission superiority. You may have your preference, but if you're on the fence, you're in luck. This unique kinetic desk sculpture allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds. It also can cool you down when the battle starts to get heated.

This sculpture was originally designed to showcase how gears and chains can be used to accomplish similar things when it comes to transmitting power and speed across a distance. Both the gears and the chain/sprockets in the piece use a 1:3 ratio, which means a single rotation of the crank gives you 3 rotations of the fans at the ends.
