This will be a rather personal analysis video. The negative attributes of future vision, especially in the episode “Pool Hopping,” resonated with me strongly because of how much it reminded me of generalized anxiety disorder and my own experience with both GAD and depression. Steven Universe has always explored social issues through fantasy elements, and I discuss my personal interpretation of how future vision plays into this trend.
