I'm pleased with the onion harvest, there were some nice onions and also a few smaller ones however I'm concerned about the Onion white rot. I shall try the Garlic powder treatment before planting next year.
Also I shall be growing my onions from seed as I have heard you get bigger onions that way.
Now I just have to remove the tree's and associated debris which will happen over the next two weeks then I can think about how I shall use the rest of the garden.
My Veg plot although only small has provided me with all vegetable needs now for 3 months and looks likely that there will be an abundance of food going forward.
I have proved to myself that it is possible to provide most of your vegetable food needs from a small suburban back garden.
Being small and close to home means the crops can be maintained and watered well, the food is as fresh as can be and I know it's going to be good because I grew it and didn't use any chemicals. Nothing but only natural nutrients and home made compost.
