It was lovely to visit this idyllic Chancel church nr Leigh Wiltshire.
The church is situated remotely and surrounded by hay meadows.
The scent from the meadows and all the flowers was glorious in June when I visited.
The Chancel is all that remains, the resto of the church was carefully dismantled and moved half a mile South to the village of Leigh where it was carefully and skillfully reconstructed in 1896. An immense task.
The old location was abandoned due to damp. There has been a church here sine the 1250's which is the date of the Chancel remaining.
