Quick update on my veg plot.
It's been a very dry start to the year with hardly any rain in the whole of the Spring season, what this means going forward is a little concerning, the ground is starting to dry out now. Fortunately for me I have the ability to rainwater harvest approx 800 liters of water but this won't go far unless its replenished. I can see hose pipe bans happening.
I'm not growing carrots as my soil is just too stony but it's one crop I would love to grow as I eat quite a few carrots, I may look at making a proper raised bed for them later.
Crops I am growing are:
Broad beans (aquadulce) possibly followed by some sort of brassica
Swiss Chard,
Pak choi,
Potatoes,
Onions (sturon)
Beetroot (boltardy)
and a variety of tomatoes
