The Snow Serpent was one of my favorites back in the day because it just looked so cool, and seeing it again in this line really brings that feeling back. What Hasbro is doing with these retro-style carded releases that feel like upscaled recreations of the original toys, right down to the front and back of the packaging, is phenomenal and packed with detail. The figure itself feels complete with all the gear and that strong arctic trooper look that made the character stand out in the first place. My one small nitpick is the snowshoes. Here they’re done in a more realistic, real-world style, while the original toy had that exaggerated, almost cartoonish look that I personally preferred and would have liked to see carried forward. Aside from that, this is a really cool release and one I’m very happy to have.
