Let’s get the negatives out of the way first. The articulation is pretty limited, and the gray plastic still feels like a missed opportunity. A little more paint or a darker shade in some areas would have gone a long way.
That said… come on. Just look at this thing.
This is one of the most imposing T-Rex modes ever released in the Transformers line. It’s massive, loaded with detail from head to tail, and has the kind of presence that instantly dominates a shelf. Every angle looks like it came straight out of the movie.
And the best part? Studio Series Optimus Prime can actually ride him into battle.
Is it the most articulated dinosaur Transformer ever made? Not even close. Do I care when it looks this good? Not really. This thing is an absolute beast and easily one of my favorite Grimlock dinosaur modes.
