Throttle control, power supply, current/voltage/temperature monitoring, and design flaw …
↓↓↓ Complete description, time index and links below ↓↓↓
In the previous video we’ve implemented a temperature monitoring based on a PTC thermistor and the last free input on our ADC (link below). It’s time to do some housekeeping and take care of some stuff that fell aside along the way.
We replace throttle control resistors, tweak the current monitoring, add EMS protection to the power supply and voltage monitoring, as well as oversampling to the temperature monitoring. We also discover a fatal design flaw
00:00 Intro – it’s time for some housekeeping
01:21 Throttle Control – corrected resistors
06:59 Current measurement – proper oversampling
18:28 Power Supply – EMC parts for EMS added
20:55 Temperature monitoring – added oversampling
25:28 Voltage measurement – added Zener diode
26:25 Design flaw – load on reference voltage to high
29:54 Wrap-up – next is RS-485 communication, bye
