This video presents AGRIP, a digital agriculture platform at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU). AGRIP combines drones, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies and advanced connectivity to help farmers monitor crops and make data-driven decisions.
By enabling the collection, transmission and analysis of large volumes of agricultural data, AGRIP helps farmers identify issues earlier, optimise resources and make more informed decisions. It demonstrates how digital technologies can support more productive, sustainable and competitive farming.
The university’s standalone 5G network provides the low latency, reliability and capacity needed to connect many devices simultaneously. Continuous, reliable connectivity also supports AI and advanced analytics, while the university offers a safe environment in which these technologies can be tested, validated and demonstrated before commercial deployment.
AGRIP also gives students hands-on experience with advanced digital technologies and helps prepare future professionals. The project highlights why strong digital infrastructure is becoming as important to modern farming as roads, electricity and water, and how lessons from university research can inform future smart-farming deployments across rural regions.
