Twin it! 3D for Europe’s Culture is a pan-European campaign launched by the European Commission and the Europeana Initiative to support EU Member States in their 3D digitisation and digital preservation efforts.

The campaign encourages the creation and sharing of high-quality 3D cultural heritage assets through Europeana and the common European data space for cultural heritage. It supports the EU’s ambition to make Europe’s cultural heritage more accessible, reusable and available for future generations.

In this video, Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Yvo Volman from the European Commission, Marco Medici, specialist in 3D digitisation, and Renate Nikolay from the European Commission reflect on the strategic value of 3D digitisation for Europe’s cultural heritage. They highlight how 3D technologies can support preservation, innovation, reuse and Europe’s digital future.
