In the newest update, v17.10, Epic added a new feature that allows you to be abducted into the alien mothership.
At the beginning of each match, 3 Abductors will fly over to different POI's. At the start of a new storm circle, they will start to abduct a certain amount of players in the POI and take them into the mothership. Inside the ship, players fight for golden orbs. The amount of orbs you claim within a certain amount of time effects what tier of loot you get in the end. Once your timer reaches zero or you reach legendary rarity, you have 10 seconds to loot as much as you can before you are teleported back onto the map.
