This video is a collaboration build between Thak Ironworks and Wartree Ironworks.
The project is a demon skull bikini top from a mild steel sheet.
My (Thak) portion of the build consists of sculpting the two demon skulls from 18 gauge steel. These skulls form the cups of the bikini top. I utilize repousse techniques to accomplish the sculptural details, pushing the shape from both inside and outside the initial domed bowl.
After finishing the skulls with a stark contrast of buffed highlights from the dark base, I am ready to hand them off to Jonny and Brittany at Wartree Ironworks. They will then create a harness system to mount them and the lovely Brittany will then model the finished product. Our combined goal is to create an effect that could be described as Heavy Metal, Mad Max, Post Apocalyptic, Goth, Black Metal, etc etc.
