In this video, I develop the template for the lower jaw. After which I begin shaping the piece from 18 gauge sheet steel. I also discuss one of the pitfalls of reverse engineering a piece of armour from photographs, in this case properly interpreting the construction when you have a limited view of the piece. My misinterpretation of the skull portion of the helmet can be blamed entirely on my rushing thru the process and not taking a critical study at the outset of the build.
