A completely unplanned, short and messy part 2 of an apparent "all my ships remind me of Reylo now" trend that is going on in my mind atm (or is it the other way around?), while trying to navigate through exam session madness and some confusing back-and-forth re: anti-Covid measures.
Never would I have ever thought to find parallels between the videogame of my heart (FFX) and this sequel trilogy before TROS (completely different story, dynamics and character personalities overall)...but this is what we ended up with: two heroines with the weight of their entire worlds on their shoulders + their loves vanishing into thin air, knowingly sacrificing themselves :(
(Also: overused song is overused, but it's become almost an unofficial vidder's rite of passage to make a Youth vidlet at some point, so I guess it just had to happen sooner or later.)

I even think the very first Musketeers videos that started popping up in my sub box last year and prompted me to watch it were hers, so well, this actually feels like coming full circle :)

And this video was a LONG time coming. Everyone who knows me knows about my love for parallels, and seriously, these two couples are SO similar it hurts. Especially in s1, Athos and Milady were totally a canon (and way better written) version of Merlin and Morgana, and so I couldnt help falling in love with them the most (even though I really like all the ships in The Musketeers, which is a unicum for me). This year I totally didnt expect them to go the route they actually did and to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement - precious darlings, I love them so much! On the other hand its a bit painful to watch them because at every turn I start thinking of Mergana and all those two could have been if only Merlin didnt have such idiotic writers...but I better not start with this topic if I wish to keep my sanity ^^
There were a million scenes more I wouldve wanted to add in here, but they either didnt fit the song or didnt make for good parallels between the couples, which is the main focus here. I also tried to choose voiceovers that could fit both couples. I hope you will like it, despite the awful video quality - you seriously have NO idea how much b*tching from SV I had to take to finish this :(

A.k.a. the reverse!Reylo AU I couldnt *not* make after a certain D23 trailer dropped. *whistles innocently*
(I 100% stand by the opinion that Dark Rey would be 10000x scarier than whatever Ben ever hoped to achieve with his Kylo persona — furious at the world for leaving her alone, with no familial ties to make her falter and question her every decision. I know the brief glimpse of IX we got is most likely going to be a vision, but nonetheless its really fascinating to get a window onto this other reality. LET IT BE DECEMBER already!)
I also apparently was living under a rock and I didnt know that this song had already been used quite a bit for these two... I didnt watch that many post-TFA tributes back in the day, and this is coming back to bite me in the butt now it seems. Too late now (as per title xD), I suppose — since this is a bit of a different theme I hope its alright!

Heres something completely different from my usual videos!
I made this for the most special person I met here on YouTube...originally meant for her birthday, but as Im always the Queen of Delay I am late this year too -.- but I didnt give up, because this just HAD to be finished! I just had to rush it a little, so thats why theres a BIG lack of transitions...hope it doesnt look too bad.
So, happy (very XD) belated birthday for this year too, Jo! There are so many things I could say. Over these years we have known each other, you have become such an important part of my life, I cant even remember how it all was before starting this big journey together. You kept supporting me, brightening my days with your jokes and discussing virtually anything with me. We started from mutual (rather excessive at times xD) fangirling over Hayden and Star Wars and ended up sharing everything in our personal lives, every joy and problem. When we talk, there are two computers, thousands of kilometres, an ocean and a sea between us, but its like we suddenly cross all borders and are simply together, face to face, like real friends. Because to me, thats what you are, and Im so proud to have a friend like you.

About the video: I just wanted to do something light and happy (after all, this was originally a b-day vid, right?), and this song just randomly popped into my mind when I started this project last June. Its not one of my top-favourite BSB songs, but I think it fits the mood I wanted to create.
Tia and Belle in the video are best friends, and they are supposed to represent Jo and myself. Theyre two of my all-time favourite Disney princesses, and I chose them because they are the ones who look like Jo and I the most, but also resemble sides of our personalities: Jo is a very good cook from what I know and is a very sunny person just like Tia is, while I, like Belle, absolutely love reading and being by myself, fantasizing :)
There are some real facts about us that I included in the video:
- the Im not one to count on at all line refers to me, and especially to my slowness when it comes to e-mails and videos...something all of my friends here unluckily know! Working on it seems to require forever but I hope to improve eventually :/
- the Im a coward line refers to Jo, because she usually tells me about being very unsure of her vidding, and I always go like youre too harsh with yourself! :)
- I put Naveen in as Jos boyfriend. On the contrary, I usually have a complicated and not very lucky relationship with boys, so thats what the Gaston episode is meant to represent :P")

Ice skating makes me happy...and this show (and ship) does too. I honestly dont know why I waited so long to start watching it – I think I was a bit afraid it would be too fanservice-y ^^ – but instead I find a very sensitive product to the challenges, fears and pressure actual skaters face, with beautiful choreography and skating animations and really lovable characters...well, consider me sold!
(If I really had to pinpoint one annoying thing about this fandom, its a part of the fanbase that feels the need to comment on every single real skating video with YOI stuff...I found it amusing at first, but its getting really annoying that I cant go back anymore and rewatch one of my favourite FS by Yuzuru, for example, without finding hundreds of comments like “omg real life Yuuri” or something along these lines. Skaters are amazing and extra hard workers on their own right – and Im very happy this anime is giving the actual sport more exposure because god knows it needs it and deserves all the love and attention, but constantly having to throw the anime in the middle without even acknowledging the real skater doing the real magic in the video youre commenting is so unbelievably rude T.T)
Minirant over, and back to these two adorbs – I think I have a knack for falling headlong for the underrated ships with two scenes in total when compared to the main ship. (Even though the official art that keeps popping out...I really dont know how some people can keep saying these two are only ever going to be friends when they depict them having cute breakfast dates and wearing matching freaking shirts, excuse me I cant hear you over the sound of all the canon-ness. In any case, I just adore their relationship in every form ♥). Btw dont get me wrong, I really like Victuuri, they are two precious dorks and married af, but something about these two...it must be that cool motorbike of Otabeks u.u and him rescuing Yurio like a true prince...or the fact that it took Yurio –aka the actual grumpycat of the show– an entire season to mature and go from disdain to respect towards Yuuri, but it only took him a single chat to open up with Beka and after that you only ever see him so relaxed and smiling in his presence, its so heartwarming :3
(Also I might have a very serious and very irrational crush on him too, but shhhh, you didnt hear that...and yes, I totally stole Yuuris ending quote about ice and love for this video because I believe it fits these two & the whole show in general so well, too.)
Finally, this is for my dear beautiful girl Becca (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVSvdlf4Ey32vsflweq9cIg), because she is the #1 fan of this show (and these two) I know, my official fanart provider and fangirling partner (and she has to bear with me spamming her with skating videos now xD), and most of all because she is going through a “down” period very similar to what Im experiencing atm and I know all too well how ugly it feels...and hope this can make her smile even if just a little. Lets try being each others Victor, at least in the support&motivation department ;_;

Losing your grip before it all fades...
This video hasnt come out really well in some parts, but as I had to finish it overnight because Im leaving for a week today I guess I can be happy with it xD.
This was made for the One Effect round of BOIT; for this round we had to choose one effect to use throughout the video, along with other basic effects allowed. I chose Gaussian Blur, and I basically used all of the other allowed fx.
I cant properly express my love for this film, it has easily become one of my faves! The story is so haunting and beautiful, and I was pleasantly surprised at how significantly the fantasy and the real-life storyline entwine together. This song made me think of Ofelia, the little protagonist, because to me the lyrics describe exactly what she does, using her colorful mind to escape the violent, awful reality she lives in.
