Forest-enthusiast and author of "The art of felling trees and still having a forest", Mikael Karlsson, is the founder of the Ecoforesty Foundation. His goal is to replace the current clear cutting methods of forestry with an ecological model that helps mitigate climate change and allows biodiversity to flourish – while at the same time providing us with forestry products such as building material and paper. The method is known as the Lübeck Model, or simply Eco Forestry.

Mikael is one of the main characters in the Campfire Stories film "A Tale from the Woods". To watch the full film, click here: campfire-stories.org/a-tale-from-the-woods-film
