The wait is finally over! After starting this arrangement back in April, and finally completing it around September or October, I can finally share it with y'all! It's the second longest single song cover I've done thus far, and I think I did a good job and making it sound cohesive while also keeping it interesting throughout. The first two minutes is more or less a guitar-centric version of the original with not many changes, but right after that I start experimenting with it a bit more, changing the song into a 5/4 version with an emphasis on the bass/drum groove. I got heavier of course later in the song and there's a little synth and guitar solo, and I play with the time signature quite a bit! Overall I had lots of fun playing with this song, and at the time that I finished mixing, I think it's easily the best mixing job I've done (not counting the ones I made after that are already released), thanks in no small part to the feedback I got while working on it and sending it to the Pixel Mixers people.
