Thai authorities have arrested 13 foreigners during a major investigation into alleged nominee arrangements used to control luxury homes and pool villas in Hua Hin. Police identified several companies suspected of using Thai shareholders to circumvent restrictions on foreign land ownership, with dozens more foreigners and Thai nationals facing legal scrutiny. Some of those arrested reportedly told investigators that legal or accounting firms had advised them to use company structures they believed were lawful.
