FORMER MP HELD AFTER NONTHABURI OFFICIAL SHOT DEAD

A former MP has been taken into custody following the fatal shooting of Nonthaburi provincial official Thongchai Yenprasert inside a government office. Authorities are investigating reports that the two men had been involved in a dispute over an alleged 11-million-baht debt. The suspect reportedly contacted a television presenter shortly after the shooting before surrendering himself and his firearm to police.
