I doubt english will be able to compete with chinese version much longer once the slope sideflip is implemented. I had beaten pack's old record but then RockstarEthan2004 and Doopsie beat the time
I got here youtu.be/YdSTRSn7mY4 . I discovered from analyzing these videos that english is faster at the end than JP, but chinese is fastest still even though it has 3 textboxes instead of 2.
Thankfully doopsie got WR not using slope sideflip and instead did a new cloud cancel sideflip strat. This gave me enough margin of error as long as I performed this new strat along with slope sideflip.
To do the cloud cancel sideflip, you must do the following:
-get onto the platform with no running speed (release z as well so you don't crouch)
-run down left for a very small amount of time and backflip (still holding down left)
-switch to up right after the backflip
-cloud cancel but perform the cancel as fast as possible (dangerously close to the frame perfect ground pound)
-press a at the right timing (i press it twice really quickly just in case)
Be careful not to use your cloud before entering the sling star. It happens way too often.

Update: New, new ending strat using another cloud sideflip. I don't have a video on hand. Maybe hunt this WR back another time?
