If you’ve been rolling your foot every day and it’s not actually fixing the problem… this is probably why.
Great job @dr.gabygo on this video! Plantar fasciitis isn’t just a “tight tissue” issue. It’s usually a load + capacity problem. Rolling can help calm symptoms short-term, but if your foot, calf, and lower body don’t have the strength or control to handle load, that stress just keeps coming back.
A better approach:
👉Build intrinsic foot strength (your arch needs active support)
👉Improve big toe + ankle mobility (so you can actually push off well)
👉Strengthen your calves (they absorb more load than you think)
👉Don’t ignore hips + control upstream (your foot doesn’t work in isolation
This is how you actually change what your plantar fascia is dealing with day to day. You don’t need more random drills, you need a plan that builds capacity over time. If your heel’s been flaring up and you’re not sure what to focus on, start there.
