On this episode of First Impressions, nerd girl Vivian and her confident goth troublemaker pal Amy sneak into their high school after hours to conduct a seance. Making their way to the library, Vivian uses her nerd privilege to liberate an Ouija board from the Halloween-themed display case. Unsurprisingly, the seance goes poorly, Amy is snatched away by mysterious force, and Vivian is seemingly transported back to 1991. Unfortunately for her, this is shortly before a huge fire that killed a bunch of students. Vivian is also rather slow on the uptake, and has a single-minded determination to find Amy regardless of whatever strange things (or spotlight-headed creatures) come her way. Eventually, we manage to call Amy with a payphone, but she's acting pretty strangely and has seemingly taken on the role of a dead girl that was meant to star in the school's rendition of Phantom of the Opera.

On this episode of First Impressions, Yuna is just a regular highschool student and loner until the day a huge earthquake hits. Seemingly killed in her classroom when it implodes, she instead wakes up in some kind of limbo before ending up in a void based on her classroom. Our goal is to find all of the other students from her homeroom, and to do that we travel into dreamworlds that seem to be built for each of them. The first student, Ali, seems to have an interest in medieval European history and architecture, and so she ended up in some sort of castle dungeon. Armed with a trench knife, Yuna explores the dungeon and is attacked by animate suits of armor. After assembling an especially large suit of armor that seems to represent Ali, we fight it before returning to the classroom to find another dream to enter.
