Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies - Firebase Z Easter Egg Solo (46:26 Completion)
Here is the main easter egg guide done solo for Firebase Z in under an hour! This video shows all the steps for the entire easter egg on solo.
To start, after turning on all 3 power generators around the map, you need to speak with Peck in Mission Command; next go back to Spawn and speak with Ravenoz to obtain Ravenoz's ID Card. This will be used to get truth Serum ingredients from 3 lockers around the map:
- Engineering Hallway Locker Location
- Colonel's Office Locker Location
- Equipment Storage Locker Location
After collecting all 3 Serums you can then take them to the Field Hospital and interact to create the Agent Delivery System. Next, take it to the Air Conditioner next to the OPC near the Open Lot.
This will pump truth serum into Peck's room and make him tell you how to get Samantha out of the Aether. Peck will tell you to go to the Data Center where you can activate with a machine on the top floor to get "Essence Traps".
You need to trap 3 certain Mimics by getting them to 10% health, throwing an Essence trap, and then detonating it (double tapping reload). To capture the right Mimics in the traps you need to get them to spawn in from rare items they are "mimicking" in certain locations:
1. Spawn Area / Scientist Quarters / Upper Intel Room - Sokolov
2. Motor Pool - Brahms
3. Planning Office / Open Lot / Colonel's Office - Zhabin
After you capture each Mimic you need to pick up the Essence Trap and take it back to the Data Center machine. YOU CAN ONLY DO ONE PER ROUND.
FLOPPY DISK
Once you get the 3 names (Sokolov, Brahms, Zhabin) to tell you quotes from the Essence Traps, a Floppy Disc will pop out of the Essence Trap machine. Pick it up and take it to the computer in the Planning Offices. Interacting with this computer will open the OPD. If you look over at the OPD you will see the door open and an Anomoly appear. You need to then talk to Peck and he will close up his blinds.
AETHERMETER
Ravenoz will then give you a code that opens the locker right next to Peck's window which will give you the Aethermeter when you open it.
SHOVEL
Right outside in the left building of the "Scorched Defense" zone is the shovel that you will need to dig up the crystals for the next step.
3 CRYSTALS CANNISTERS
- 1st Crystal - Near Research Center area. Find the crystal with mostly white smoke and NO black smoke. All have black smoke except for one. Interact with it to pick it up.
- 2nd Crystal - Near outdoor defense area where zombies spawn in. Mini Lockdown, stay in circle for a few minutes and survive dogs and special zombies.
- 3rd Crystal - Near Med Bay doorway. You need the RAI K-84 wonder weapon on its special fire mode (D-UP) to shoot the crystal and stop it from moving. Then you can approach it and pick it up.
PLACE CRYSTAL CANNISTERS ON 3 GENERATORS -
Once you have all 3 crystals interact with each of the 3 generators to overload them as Peck says. Peck deceives you; this will cause Peck to hide and the anomaly to disappear.
NEXT STEP STARTS THE BOSS FIGHT:
Go to the Planning Office and interact with the computer to aim and shoot the satellite into the sky at the star the makes a "?" instead of a country's flag using the D buttons on the D-pad. Now beams of energy from all 3 generators will shoot the big satellite in the middle of the map and this will bring Samantha back from the Dark Aether. A cutscene plays and you will enter the starting area as a boss fight stage.
Final Boss Fight - The Final Boss Fight is pretty straight forward, you are fighting Ogra again but this time he will have a little bit more health. You can deal a little extra damage shooting at the hole in his head but staying alive from additional zombies is the most important thing. STAY BEHIND THE BUILDING OR HE WILL ONE SHOT YOU; you need to stay to the right, if you venture too far left the boss will insta down you! Best strategy is to use the house as cover and pull the RAI K-84 (tornado shot mode) out when too many adds come and use it to kill them off, then switch back to automatic fire mode to melt the boss. Save Aether Shroud until you are in trouble or the boss is less than 1/3 health. ONCE AGAIN DO NOT GO UNDER ORDA!
