Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies - Firebase Z - Free Jump Pads Easter Egg (Gameplay Walkthrough)
Prerequisites: Turn on 3 generators, Use all 6 jump-pads once
Here is a quick gameplay guide to show how to do the free jump pad easter egg on Firebase Z. First you need to turn on all 3 generators and then use all 6 jump pads at least once around the map. There are 2 jump pads in each area:
- Mission Control
- Data Center (both on top floor)
- Jungle Defense (on each side)
Once you have taken each teleporter at least once, then a little green light will appear lit up on one of the 6 jump-pad's keypad. Shoot it with any weapon and then you will need to play a mini game that involves moving in the direction and touching the edge of the circle 5 times in the directions it tells you. They are always the same patterns and doesn't cost anything to attempt but you only get 1 try per round. You will need to do 5 movements for each of the 6 jump pads all in one go. So thats 30 movements without messing up; it is very difficult to do. But if you manage to do it correctly then jump pads will be free for the rest of that game!
To make this easier you can progress through the main easter egg and get the Essence Trap devices to trap the last zombie so they don't interrupt. If a zombie hits you during any of the sequences you will fail and have to wait until the next round. Another tip is to be careful when going backwards that you don't go too far but also that you don't not go far enough. It can be really tricky but once you find the sweet spot it gets a lot easier. Just think of it that you need to tap the edge of the circle in order for that direction to count. Watch the movements I make in the gameplay and the timing of the arrows showing up on the jump-pad.
