I've been obsessed with surf fishing lately and have been subscribing to a lot of the West Coast surf fishing channels. So far I've been unsuccessful at landing a nice perch. About a week ago I picked up an ultralight Okuma 10' Celilo rod to try to cast further than my old 7' rod. It's rated to handle up to only 1/4 oz lures so more ideal for calmer waters.
With the turbulent waves lately, I felt I needed a rod that could handle some weight for some bait & wait or to cast some lures easier. So I picked up an Okuma Rockaway 10' Medium Heavy rod that can handle 1-4oz lures.
I recently picked up a Lucky Craft 110 Flash Minnow and wanted to give that a try as well.

As I was letting this go, babies were popping out. The little kids of the family passing by helped to carry the babies back into the ocean. They were so excited. A moment they'll probably never forget.
