10/7/2023 Monterey Bay
It's been scorching in California lately. It's been hotter on the coast than in the Bay Area on some days. It was a cool, breezy morning at the beach. Only a few miles inland it shot back up around 85 degF. The beach was nice. I ended up catching around 5-6 small perch and tossed them all back.
The DJI Action 4 arrived a few days ago. I finally went out for a test by doing some surf fishing at the beach. The first half of the footage was ruined. I had the white balance on manual, set to indoors.
I'm noticing some random color artifacts when using D-Log M in some shots. It's not showing up in camera but shows up in DaVinci Resolve. I may switch to standard color to be safe.
Settings for the DJI Action 4:
- 4K60
- HorizonBalancing
- D-Log M 10-bit color
- Shutter Speed: 1/200-1/8000
- ISO: 100-1600

I also tried out the Ulanzi Necklace Mount and it worked out great. It was nice having the camera not in the way of anything.
