It's rather astonishing that a game from 1997 still manages to evoke deep sensations of emotion. Final Fantasy VII achieves this by way of beautifully somber music, endearing characters and quality storytelling. Aeris' death from the original FFVII on PSX still carries monumental impact from a time where this was far from the norm in the medium of videogames.
