Ultimate Civilization 3 Final Fantasy Mod & Custom Maps Showcase! ⚔️💎
Welcome back! In this video, we are jumping directly onto the battle maps to show off an extensive, labor-of-love project updating and expanding Final Fantasy maps and scenarios within Sid Meier's Civilization III!
We take a deep-dive look at the 6 custom Final Fantasy VII maps, the 2 Final Fantasy IX maps, and both the smaller and larger Final Fantasy VIII maps that I have personally edited and customized. We look across the entire world maps to see the custom cities, units, custom civilization colors, ownership changes, and strategic differences between the map versions.
This builds heavily upon the work of legendary community creators. For the FF7 scenarios, I've updated and modified the classic original FF7 mod created by Magus88 for Civilization 3. For the FF8 and FF9 scenarios, I imported the maps straight into the incredible Final Fantasy mod by DJ_Bonebreaker. From there, I manually built out the worlds—adding all of the iconic cities, city names, starting units, and starting heroes.
While DJ_Bonebreaker created the beautiful custom sprites, I manually downloaded, coded, and implemented specific heroes and units from scratch into the game folders and text files. Watch as we take a look at fully functional heroes on the map, including Rufus Shinra, Aerith Gainsborough, and Sorceress Edea, alongside the massive roster of standard units!
If you love retro modding, deep strategy customization, and classic Final Fantasy lore, make sure to hit that Like button, leave a comment about which map layout looks the best, and Subscribe for more!

![Prelude To The Campaign - Faerun [Forgotten Realms]: Total War - Elves of Cormanthyr Lets Play #00
This is a prelude to the Elves of Cormanthyr Lets Play in which I will start a campaign in the Faerun [Forgotten Realms]: Total War mod or modification for the PC-game Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms, using the beta version 08 release of January 1st, 2026.
In this video I will speak the entire video and go through the playable factions, the history of the mod in a short fashion, tell you about the mods three campaigns and the differences and at the end of the video launch the campaign.
This video was originally a part of the first episode of the Elves of Cormanthyr Lets Play but I cut it out as it didnt really fit with the rest of the video.
Its a good introduction to the mod as well. Prelude To The Campaign - Faerun [Forgotten Realms]: Total War - Elves of Cormanthyr Lets Play #00](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/TUDqt_Z0JYw/mqdefault.jpg)
