Welcome to an epic, 41-minute massive clash in Warcraft: Total War! This video showcases a colossal 3v3 custom battle featuring the Kingdom of Stromgarde standing against the overwhelming forces of the Burning Legion.
The Armies In This Battle:
🔥 The Burning Legion: Deploying three distinct armies—one pure Demon army, one Fel Orc army, and a third combined force of Satyrs and Fel Orcs.
🛡️ Kingdom of Stromgarde: A massive defensive line featuring the newly updated Classic Edition army.
What’s new in this showcase:
đź‘ą Burning Legion Faction Overhauls:
Retro Fel Orc Models: The Orcs used by the Legion in this Alpha Roster Edition are based on older variants of the models. They are smaller than the standard versions you might be used to.
Classic Shoulder Pads & Animations: The Orc Archers and Orc Spears proudly wear their original shoulder pads. (These were famously removed back in 2017 by Krall/Bantu Chieftain when he resized the models to make them bigger and converted them to Warhammer animations). In this edition, they are restored to their original, smaller size and utilize the classic Medieval 2 animations originally crafted by Eoghan Wolfkin!
Alpha Skeletons: The Orc Skeletons are distinct from the modern versions, matching the 2017 alpha and completely lacking shoulder pads. The Human Skeleton model has also been changed to fit the classic aesthetic.
⚔️ Stromgarde Faction Overhauls:
Unit Redesigns & Armor Upgrades: Just like the Scarlet Crusade, Stromgarde's Footmen have received a brand-new armor upgrade using the captain's model. The Militia, Priests, and Mages have also been altered to match the retro alpha aesthetic.
The Red Legion of Strom: I have completely remade the helmed model for this unit, creating two distinct variants based on the WoW Classic Footman—one standard and one sporting a cape. These are fierce female footmen representing Stromgarde's elite!
Backend Optimization: Stromgarde and the Scarlet Crusade now share the same internal unit entries using different skins to save precious code space. Because Stormwind, Lordaeron, and Theramore use completely unique entries, I had to optimize the mod's files to open up space.
Mod Clean-up: To streamline the mod and prepare for the campaign, I have deleted 11 heroes from custom battles and removed several redundant units.
This battle is a true test of endurance, nostalgia, and strategy against the demonic hordes. Sit back and enjoy 41 minutes of pure Total War chaos!
