It's the Divine Comedy, now available on your Super Famicom! (Then again, FFIV did it first.)
- Tier 1: Inferno (Hell) with Satan (Face/Visage) locked in ice.
- Tier 2: Purgatorio (Purgatory) with the various monsters representing the suffering and the penitent.
- Tier 3: Paradiso (Heaven) with the Virgin Mary (Lady, blatantly obvious in Japan where she's named Maria) in a Pietà pose (Rest). Remember to steal the Ragnarok and Ultima Weapons if you're playing the GBA version!
- Tier 4: Dante meeting God, who tells him the meaning of life (Kefka, who tells the protagonists that life is meaningless).
Also, another "it's suboptimal but fuck it lol" disclaimer.
