As is always the case, I went into this battle well overgeared, but even though all the Cloud of Darkness does is sneeze FlareWaves at you, it's still a horribly dangerous fight. Two Ninjas would have probably made it much faster with double the Shuriken, but I like my punch guy. The Karateka's Build Up might also have been nice, but he wouldn't have lived long enough to use it since the FlareWave would have pretty much oneshot him.
The reason I unequipped the Quake spell from CROOW! was because in prior fights I'd end up accidentally choosing it when I meant to cast Cure4 and you can't undo that mistake on the last member of the party ("Attack All" spells skip targeting). Also, sorry if I skip the text too fast, I tried to pace it so it's readable without lingering too long on one line.
I read later on that swapping weapons mid-battle cancels the effects of Haste, which explains why the Shuriken damage dropped so much after the first turn. Maybe I should have had the Karateka pouring wine down the Ninja's throat on every turn. I was kinda hoping the wine would buff the Karateka a bit more. I expected the Asterix PAF! with just the caligae left on screen like what the first game pretty much lets you do. A Hasterix, if you will.
The last dungeons are hell. I don't remember it being that hard in the remake.
Well, this completes the missing link in my final battle videos for FFs I through X. I initially didn't plan on recording this -- I'd have picked less silly names otherwise. I just wanted to play through it since I'd never fully played the original and even the DS remake I've only beaten once over a decade ago. Maybe I'll do that one in the future, too.

In unrelated news, this channel turned 14 a little over a week prior to this upload. I didn't think I'd end up using this much after the first day, but here we are.

Posting a few extended tracks to close off this Emerald Dragon streak. This is purely just full self-indulgence. This has been something Id also had in consideration for years, similar to the whole playthrough itself.

![Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon [PAL] - 117% Playthrough (Archive*)
*NOTE: This is an unedited archive of a live no-commentary playthrough originally streamed on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/bippoernesti), which means there may be deaths, restarts or intermissions/interruptions.
117% playthrough (with Skill Points) of the PAL Platinum version of Spyro 3. Played on a PS1. The blue screen that blinks briefly at the start is from the HDMI adapter I use. I presume due to the multiple languages, the PAL version has lower audio quality in cutscenes, though outside the cutscenes the audio is clearer.
Technically its just Spyro: Year of the Dragon, but there really is no reason to omit the 3 from the title, yet for some reason, just like Crash Bandicoot 3 where its technically just Crash Bandicoot: Warped, they removed the 3 from the title. So dumb.
A playthrough thats been a long time coming, meant to follow up the Crash trilogy with Spyro way back in 2021, but somehow managed to procrastinate for half a decade. It took me a good while to get a copy of Spyro 3 since the PS3 (PSone Classics) version which I had runs like mud, and the system had a little trouble properly emulating the discs, so I went with my old PS1, which is a bit blurrier, but at least its accurate.
Playing this disc on the PS3 had some issues where in-game voices would fade out prematurely, and in cutscenes all sounds and voices were both desynced and would start to glitch out in longer cutscenes (e.g. Hunters Tussle), which were the primary reasons for playing on actual hardware.

Luigi 120 Stars: Youre here.
I skip talking to optional characters and go through dialogue fast in this playthrough since its mostly the same as with Mario.
This is the second stream of a two-parter stream split between two days, the first [Mario] was 120 Stars as Mario ending with the storybook (with the Epilogue), and the second [Luigi] being 120 Stars with Luigi, ending with Grand Finale Galaxy.
I wasnt 100% sure if Id feel up for replaying the game for what would be the fourth time this week, but I did.
