Quite the gentleman for a roadhog.

\\Rubicante GT//
HP: 7200HP

Rubicante here has a long history of tweaks, nerfs, and other adjustments to try and take into account that he appears at the end of a lengthy combo of an FMV + Party Setup + Minigame. But with the addition of a Save Point during the Bike Controls screen and the new character buffs like innates I can go a little ways to restoring his former party-destroying glory :3

Rubicante opens with his wheels as normal, but then follows it up an 'attack' that fully restores the party. This is a callback to fights with Rubicante in FF4 where he would fully heal the party for a fair fight. It also eliminates a potential first-round wipe with a double Sword-Arm so I can keep this attack nice and strong.

The 'final boss' of the Midgar Escape will hopefully put people to the test as it needs good use of all the tools you've amassed so far to beat him clean. Barriers need to be juggled, healing needs to be handled, character strengths/weaknesses considered, and a strong offence to bring down his not inconsiderable 7200HP.

Coming your way is a mix of physical and magical attacks, with a couple of status ailments thrown in. Sword Arm can be used twice and is best tanked by a sturdier character using a combination of Cover, Barrier, and a Protect Vest accessory. Barret is best for this, but Cloud can do it too if he's not brought along.

Slow Burner can inflict Slow, which will make actions taken much more important, and Monoxide will inflict Poison that can interfere with Defend (and Geo Stance) if you're using it for Sword Arm or Hot Wheels; a Star Pendant accessory can prevent this and is best given to a caster for the additional magic bonus.

Finally, Autarch's Inferno is basically a souped up Rolling Fire; MBarrier is highly recommended to be in place before it lands for anyone not using Fire + Elemental or who has less than 300HP. As for innates, Aeris' Geo Stance can absorb this damage, Barret will be able to tank it if he has Defence Stacks built (which is likely), and Tifa can 'survive' one in a pinch with Grit. Keeping those in mind can be invaluable if you're unable to get MBarrier/Healing to the entire party in time and have to decide which characters to protect.

Quick thing to note; I noticed that Cure was falling by the wayside during this test run due to MBarrier and the increased utility of Potions in-battle. So to fix that I've amped up the base power of the three Cure spells so that they can power through MBarrier; they generally heal a character to max when focused anyway, and +All casts get split down.

Beat this guy and congrats! You escaped Midgar...but the REAL Dark Souls starts here D:
