Case Type: Trucking: Motorcycle: Hughes v. Northland Insurance
Description: While driving down a state highway, a tractor trailer began to change lanes, not knowing a motorcycle was in his blind-spot. The truck realized the motorcycle after only traveling part-way into his lane, however the motorcycle driver panicked, swerved into the median and lost control.
Visualizations Produced:
Based on CADD data from our expert, a 3D model of the site was generated, textured based on photos, accurate lighting was applied for the date and time of the accident and placed the vehicles. The vehicles were then animated to depict the accident as it happened, as well as five defensive maneuvers the driver of the motorcycle could have preformed to avoid swerving into the median and losing control.
