Interview with Organic farmer, Delmar Benjamin of Montana.
My wife and I were having dinner with a couple from Florida. The woman asked, "Is it really worth it?" And after thinking about it for a couple of years... Absolutely not. It is not worth it. I do not want to spend my golden years working my fingers to the bone for people who don't appreciate it.
If you don't appreciate what I'm doing, just put that Kamut flour back on the shelf and leave it for somebody that appreciates what I'm doing.
You look around as far as the eye can see, there's conventional farmers growing USDA's subsidized, cheap wheat. Eat that: Glyphosate, insecticides, herbicides, pesticides... Eat that. If you want to take care of your health, it costs a little bit more and I put a lot more into making it.
