“Follow the Freedom Trail” is a quest that can be acquired from multiple sources — overhearing conversations in Diamond City and Goodneighbor or speaking with Piper and Dr. Amari.

Following the distinctive red trail of bricks starting from Boston Common to various other historic sites, the Sole Survivor winds up at the Old North Church. Deep within its underground catacombs lie the headquarters of one of the Commonwealth’s most secretive organizations — the Railroad.
