Now that Kiryu knows that Haruto has some significance in the war between the Chinese mafia and Japanese yakuza, he heads back with the Nagumo and Yuta to speak with Hirose-san back in Onomichi.
Back in Hiroshima, the local yakuza confront Kiryu as to the whereabouts of Hirose-san. After dealing with those goons, Kiryu and the boys head to Moreno to find Kiyomi there with Matsunaga. Apparently, Hirose-san took off with Haruto and nobody knows where he could be.
Kiyomi also talks about her young daughter who is back in Tokyo, the child whom she had with Someya. A flashback reveals how Kiyomi got involved with Someya. Her sad tale of a man who once saved her turns into a story of violence and fear.
Kiyomi feels embarrassed to tell this to the boys, especially Nagumo. In his underlying good nature, Nagumo encourages Kiyomi to never quit being that young girl's parent. It was what she needed to hear.
