Vault 81, which has withstood the test of both nuclear fire and time, is now being threatened by a mysterious disease and will need the help of an outsider to save one of their own.
Hidden deep within its secret interior, one of the Commonwealth’s arguably most interesting sentient beings remains trapped inside. This state of the art robot was designed to be the guardian of Vault 81, responsible for preserving the knowledge amassed by the Vault 81 scientists as well as ensuring that every single one is aware of the significance of the mission undertaken within the halls of the Vault.
Codenamed CVRIE (Contagions Vulnerability Robotic Infirmary Engineer) or simply Curie by scientists who are long dead, she has been conducting experients alone for over 83 years underground. She is a custom medical model (Mrs. Orderly) of the Mister Handy Robot developed by General Atomics International before the Great War and refined in collaboration with RobCo Industries.
She was named after Madame Marie Skłodowska Curie, born Maria Salomea Skłodowska (7 November 1867 – 4 July 1934) who was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity.
