![[TAS] Boogie Nights of the Living Dead 100% in 3:10.100 | Earthworm Jim 3D
A 100% TAS of the level Boogie Nights of the Living Dead (Often abbreviated to Boogie Nights) done in 3 minutes and 10 seconds. The definition of 100% for this level is getting all 5 of the golden udders and all 100 marbles within the level.
The route is mostly similar to the RTA route (of which the record can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2XDF6vuHw0&t=1h10m45s ) with some optimisations (such as a blast jump from a nearby Boom Box to reach the pillar udder earlier than intended).
This TAS mostly shows off the sheer optimisation left in movement within this game. Emulator naturally behaves more like the PC varient of this game (little lag, gaining height during the twirl move, no walljump), however when I get round to doing the full 100% TAS of this game (Which will use scripts to hack the emulator to behave more like N64), you will see A LOT more sequence breaks due to one of the mechanics that N64 has that PC/Normal Emu does not.
This TAS was made with the assistance of a RAM Watch script called ScriptHawk, which can be found here: https://github.com/Isotarge/ScriptHawk

DK PHASE
By grabbing K Rool w/ hacks, you can turn DK temporarily invincible.. Somehow. On top of this, if you enter the Barrel from above whilst K Rool is in certain positions, you can instantly damage K Rool.. and keep the barrel.
Its worth noting that the Punch counts will still progress, and after 4 shots, the phase will be over (regardless of how many barrels are remaining in the ring)
LANKY PHASE
By picking K Rool up, the Warp Pad Cutscene plays. K Rool remains in the corner, and playing an instrument will put him in an infinite run loop. Even if you pick him up, he breaks free of your grasp and runs back to the corner to get stuck again. He is in a defeatable state if you place the peels very carefully.
CHUNKY PHASE
If you move during the K Rool punch scene, you can get a much earlier cutscene. For some reason, the charging of the punch is enough to trigger the cutscene from that position (Normally it wouldnt work if youre in the regular position).
Also, the Diddy Phase Rocketbarrel actor is in Chunky Phase, for... some.. reason More K Rool Oddities [Theoretical] | Donkey Kong 64 Glitch](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/U8zBNwka_uA/mqdefault.jpg)

EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnlElzQOXvw
Yeah... this again.. but... fastest N64 time....
Technically the fastest time done on N64, but its to a degree (0.03s) where itd be simpler to go joint fastest.
Im aiming to eventually push this down to 12:09-12:10 range

![Professor Monkey for a Head & Poultrygeist Early [N64 Only] | Earthworm Jim 3D Glitch
This isnt monkey business, you have to be quite annalidical to understand this one. Time for a glitch most fowl :^)
MECHANICS EXPLANATION
So, there are 2 main releases of Earthworm Jim 3D: The N64 versions (EU & US) and the PC version. There are a few differences between the two versions, but the main one when it comes to speedrunning is the difference in height gaining mechanics.
PC gains height during a twirl (0.05 units per frame), something which N64 doesnt have. This means that some sequence breaks become very trivial (See any recent 100% speedrun on PC for the Hungry Tonite section for various examples).
N64 has the walljump mechanic. In short, when Jim is performing a certain animation and gets a certain type of movement (The difference is subtle), you can execute another superjump/jump. This only occurs on certain walls, hence the name.
Emulator behaves very much like PC, so before a few days ago, we couldnt mess around with walljump stuff on emulator. However, with a small bit of script, we can modify emulation behaviour to behave like N64 in certain aspects (in the case here, the twirl height gain was turned off and the walljump mechanic was turned on).
Script: https://github.com/Isotarge/ScriptHawk
METHOD EXPLANATION
Professor Monkey for a head - Using walljumps, we can get onto the small gap above the Death Wormed Up entrance tunnel. From here, we go through a very small gap between when the tunnel finishes and the loading zone starts so that we can fall down and get a walljump on the tunnel wall. What this allows us to do is get on top of the tunnel, and then execute a few more walljumps to get on top of the fear hub walls.
From here, its just a simple case of navigation to the PMFAH loading zone.
Poultrygeist - This is pretty much the same story. You may think Hang on, weve only entered the mansion lobby, not the level. Whilst true, the game only performs the marble check for Poultrygeist when entering the mansion lobby from Fear Hub. There is no check in the mansion lobby when attempting to enter the loading zone to Poultrygeist.
