Today we're searching for some of the fastest invasive lizards south Florida has to offer, from tiny anoles to giant basilisk lizards, time to go catch some speedy lizards!

Basilisk lizards are nicknamed the "Jesus Lizard" because of their ability to run across the surface of water for short periods of time. This allows them to escape predators, as these lanky lizards spend much of their time near water. Seen quite commonly throughout Miami, basilisks are native to central and south america, and were introduced to Florida's cities via the pet trade.
