This video was shot back in the beginning of March before the whole Covid 19 crisis had taken hold. We took a two day camping trip up into the mountains of western New Mexico to explore an old mining area dating back to 1875. In this video, we explore a couple of sections of a massive mine where silver, gold, copper and lead were mined out over a span of several decades. Some interesting items are left behind inside this mine such as a hoist, underground headframe, and a riveted air tank. Unfortunately, we didn't gain access to the "bread and butter" of the mine due to ground fall and gaining entry late in the evening. This isn't the last time I will visit this place, as there is so much more to explore!
