ABANDONED UNDERGROUND | Exploring the Flooded Lower Level of the Abandoned Union Schnitzel Mine! @ABANDONED_UNDERGROUND | Uploaded September 2023 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
In this video, Todd, Joe, and I finally get to explore the lower level of this flooded, abandoned mine we've been wanting to get into for quite a long time. We haven't been able to gain entry until now due to the depth of the water level inside of the tunnel. In certain parts, the water level surpassed 5 feet - well above standard chest waders - and the water is chilly!
Todd and Joe took the classy route- bringing kayaks along and kayaking underground until the water level became too shallow. Myself, on the other hand- I took the swamp man approach and trudged through the slippery, quicksand-like mud with my trusty waders.
Inside of this old, dark, and damp underground mine are cave formations developing from 100 years of water depositing dissolved minerals, historic items, century-old graffiti, and a bit of mystery.
Join us underground, exploring over a mile of abandoned tunnels left behind from over a century ago from hard work, hope, and guts.
Joining us on this adventure are @OnTheNextEpisode and @ZiaMountainAdventures . Together, we take our underground abandoned mine exploring experiences to another level. We have hiked several miles underground, documenting this historic place, each one of us with a different perspective. I hope you enjoy our videos, and I encourage you to check out and subscribe to @AbandonedMines11 , @OnTheNextEpisode and @ZiaMountainAdventures channels as well!
This abandoned mine exploring video is shot and presented in 4K and HDR. I recommend for your viewing experience to watch this video with a TV, monitor, or mobile device with a 4K/HDR compatible display. It really does make a difference!
