In this video, we head to some abandoned fluorite mines north of Las Cruces, NM. Although these mines are relatively small compared to some other places we've been to, these mines are unique because of the deep blue fluorite crystals inside of them (hence the Breaking Bad reference). These mines appear to be visited quite often with evidence of fresh footprints and blue crystals scattered along the floor of the mine. This video highlights 2 of the 7 underground workings. The other workings were either eroded nearly shut or nearly collapsed completely. I have been into all of the workings in the past, and the two mines in the video are the most interesting in my opinion.
