Rock Spring in the Mojave National Preserve is kind of a snapshot of the human history of the area. Once an important oasis for Native Americans crossing the desert, it later was a stop on the Mojave Road, the site of an Army camp, a mining operation, and where a WWI veteran found new life.
In this video, after a brief stop at the Kelso Depot we head to the Rock Spring Loop Trail, visit the Rock House, the site of Camp Rock Spring, and check out the area's history.
