The first Musical Road in Lancaster, California was created in 2008 for a Honda Civic commercial. When you drive over the road, it is supposed to play the William Tell Overture. It tries its best.
The road proved to be popular, too popular, and people in the area complained about the noise, so a month later it was moved to a less populated area.
While this was the first of only a handful of musical roads in the United States, a second road was created only a few miles away last year, this one honoring film actor and Marine R. Lee Ermey.
In this video we travel to Lancaster and Palmdale and take a look at California's two musical roads and see just how good (or bad) they sound. I apologize in advance for the singing.
