Exploring Abandoned Mines and Unusual Places | Exploring a Very Windy, Abandoned Gold Mine With Endless Tunnels @AbandonedMines11 | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 9 minutes ago.
An ungodly amount of cold wind was blowing out of the severely eroded entrance to this abandoned mine. Strong airflow like that indicates a mine has substantial underground workings. After sliding into the mine on our backs through the narrow portal, we followed the main haulage tunnel around several curves, down long straight sections, and through a couple of junctions. Seemed endless! This gold mine was worked in the late 1890s through the early 1900s and hasn't been worked since. While exploring, it quickly became apparent to us that there are upper levels in this abandoned mine that we'll have to find a way into at a later date. Enjoy!
Nick, who appears with me in this video, has his own YouTube channel called "Miner49er." Head on over there, check out some of his interesting abandoned mine exploration videos, and don't forget to subscribe. He'd appreciate that and so would I! Thanks!
