This dive site is regarded as one of South Australia’s premier dive sites, complementing the other diving locations in the region.
The 134m, 4,500 ton ship lies in 30m of water and rises from the seafloor to approximately 5m below the surface and is now completely covered in beautiful marine life such as colourful sponges and algaes and hosts a myriad of fish species.
The ex-HMAS Hobart was sunk in November 2002 and is teeming with life. The ship was specially prepared and sunk as a dive site and many holes and hatches were cut to allow easy access to scuba divers and navigation throughout the wreck.
This is a must dive for any Scuba-diver in South-Australia.
