This week, the nation mourned longtime Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, who passed away at the age of 71 earlier this month. Graham spent more than three decades on Capitol Hill. His sudden death has drawn a crowded field of Republican hopefuls, including the late senator’s sister, Darline Graham. On Aug. 11, 12 candidates will face off in a special primary election, with the winner going head-to-head against Democratic nominee Annie Andrews, a physician based in Charleston. Spectrum News political anchor Tim Boyum is joined by Scott Huffmon, a professor of political science at Winthrop University in South Carolina, to discuss the special election and more.
