Dr. Richard Montgomery and Mariah Crenshaw filed affidavits under Ohio Revised Codes 2935.08, 2935.09, & 2935.10 seeking the arrest of Matthew Rhodes acting as a peace officer, killed Luke Stewart, an unarmed African American that was asleep in his vehicle. Rhodes and his partner Louis Catalani accosted Stewart who was unarmed asleep in his car. Neither Rhodes or Catalani have taken the state mandated Continued Professional Training which grants legal authority to peace officers.
Crenshaw and Montgomery are seeking the information to be resubmitted to a grand jury for consideration of indictment and prosecution of Matthew Rhodes.
